How can surrender help when I'm rushed?

I feel rushed all the time and I'm getting more and more anxious. I feel that I'm not fully living my life and the days pass by so quickly. How can surrender help?

Answer: Dear Ellen,

Native people say that we in the West have "Hurry sickness" where we're always in a rush running from one commitment to another. This saps the quality of life. Surrender allows you to keep exhaling, consciously breathing out stress, slowing down enough to enjoy the moments you've been given. A lovely mantra from The Power of Surrender to use is "I release stress and surrender to the Now." Then look at the sky and the trees and the children playing and be grateful.
