Ask Dr. Orloff
Can dreams help heal an illness?
Question: Dr. Orloff,
I am so excited to be working with your Emotional Freedom book! My friend has narcolepsy and is very sensitive. She is currently in her 8th week of chemo. How can I best support her in adapting this emotional dream healing work and working around the narcolepsy?
Answer: Dear Dianna,
What a loving friend you are! Your friend is on a healing journey as she goes through chemo. Having narcolepsy can actually help the healing process since deep sleep heals the body, mind, and spirit. Ask your friend to pose a question before she goes to sleep at night and then record her dream immediately in the AM to find the answer. She can ask questions about how best to heal or any other question that moves her. If she dreams during her narcoleptic sleep (narcolepsy is involuntary sleeping) be sure to write down the dream when she wakes up. I suspect that her inner guidance is wanting to give her messages to heal and sleep is the perfect vehicle to do this.
Sending healing energy,
